Materials you will receive:

1.  Beginning in June, registrants will receive ALL 10's "Actuarial Notes for the FALL 2008 CAS Exam 9".  This comprehensive set of study manuals (in excess of 900 pages) serves as the fundamental preparatory tool for the review course and exam preparation.

In addition, registrants will receive login access to our online web services (online study time and task manager, recommended reading schedule, and online study guide)
Over a 13 week period, our staff spends Significant time updating Weekly guidance on what syllabus reading pages to review, what study manual pages they cross reference, and what past CAS questions to work to reinforce specific concepts.
Streamline your exam preparation by logging in each Monday, beginning June 30, to review our online study guide commentary.

2.  At the seminar, registrants will receive:

Flash Cards. A stack of cards will be provided that covers all major syllabus content and facilitates increased proficiency of random access recall of concepts.

Math Procedure List. This list shows all the main testable math procedures (~80) and provides examples of each.

Memorization of the flash cards and proficiency in all the math procedures will identify candidates who are prepared to pass the exam.

*Note:  Students ordering the Seminar-Only will receive only the materials distributed at the seminar.

3.  After the seminar, registrants will have the opportunity to take 10 online preparatory tests. These are designed to reinforce your understanding of the material at a time when you should be ready to do so.

This series of 10 online tests consists of five modified past CAS MC and Computational questions tests (90 questions in total) and five Past CAS essay tests (60 questions in total). The source of questions appearing on modified CAS questions tests are questions from past CAS exams, and the modifications include both verbiage and data changes. The questions on these exams are auto graded.

The questions on our past CAS essay tests are verbatim CAS essay questions. The impetus for candidates to take these past CAS essay tests online is the ability to compare their answers to our model solutions and to the CAS model solutions. As candidates are now aware, the points associated with essay-based questions account for a significant percent of the total points tested on CAS exams. The questions on these exams are self reviewed.
