Exam Statistics

Evaluation and Performance Statistics are made available immediately after taking an exam.  These statistics provide a good indication of where your strengths and weaknesses lie, weeks before the actual exam.

Comparison statistics help you gauge your performance relative to the competition.

Evaluation statistics determine how best to spend your study time in the weeks prior to the actual exam.

Our exam result pages are divided into three sections:

Section 1 Results:
Aggregate Results by Question Type. This includes the number of points available by question type, your score, and the average score by question type (e.g. Short Essay, Multiple Choice, or Computational). Students benefit not only by knowing where their strengths and weaknesses lie by question type, but also by knowing how well they score relative to their competition.

Aggregate results by article/author. This includes the number of questions, points available, your score, average score, your time, and average time by article name or author name. This section provides students with an indication of which articles need further review.

Section 2 Results:
Individual results by question. For each question on the exam, students will be able to view the following: question number, question type (e.g. Short Essay, Multiple Choice, or Computational), the correct answer, the point value of the question, their points, the time you spent on each question (including the time spent revisiting a question), and the average time spent by all per question. This section provides students with an indication of how well they manage their time relative to their competition (view).

Solutions to each question. Students are given the opportunity to review each question, the answer choice they selected and the correct answer choice, and a step by step solution to the problem. Regardless of whether the question was answered correctly or not, students can compare their approach and methods to solving problems to the solutions we offer.

Section 3: Overall Results (for all exams)
