Recommended Syllabus Reading Schedule

It is essential that candidates read through, and work problems associated with, the syllabus readings over a period of time which leaves them with 5 to 6 weeks for their final exam preparation.

Why 5 to 6 weeks? Because without that cushion for final preparation, candidates frantically attempt to absorb new information in a period of time which is not conducive to understanding the material.

Syllabus Reading Schedule (continued)

The purpose of our recommended reading schedules is two fold:

  1. To provide candidates with a means to conduct an initial review of all syllabus readings over a 13 week period.
  2. To provide a course of study which coincides with the administration of our online exams.  This is the most compelling reason why one may choose to follow our recommended reading schedule.  Click here for more information about our online exams.

The recommended reading schedules were constructed with two objectives in mind:

  1. To require no more than 20 - 30 hours of study to conduct an initial review of the current week's articles and to work a fair number past CAS questions associated with the prior week's article.
  2. To group articles according to related topical content, or content that builds upon logical relationships discussed by various authors.
