FAQs : Prep Test Usage

When should I take the online tests?
Online tests should be taken when "Internet traffic" at your location is minimal. Throughout the country, there are certain days and times when the Internet "slows down" (e.g. lunchtime, after dinner, and end of business day). Therefore, it is in your best interest to choose a time when you feel that Internet traffic will not impede your access to the Internet. For test taking dates refer to the "What are the online test schedules?" FAQ.

Can I take an online test more than once?
Our online tests cannot be taken more than once. However, you can view your results for each test as many times as you wish.

Can I print out the test?
No, for a variety of reasons. However, you can print out any of the result pages. Further, you may VIEW questions online up until the token expiration date.

How different will my results be if I take the tests on a dial-up connection versus a high-speed connection?
The difference in your test taking experience is minimal. The only difference you will experience is the speed with which questions are displayed after submitting your answer to a previous question. We have tested these differences ourselves and have found, on average, a two second delay per question displayed. Please note: ALL 10 is not responsible for "dropped" connections between test takers and their ISPs.

From what locations can I take the test?
The ideal location is from your workplace (if your workplace offers a high-speed connection). However, choose a time when you will be uninterrupted for at least one hour. If you do not have an Internet connection from your PC at work, make arrangements with your supervisor or IT department to take the test from a PC with an Internet connection. You may also take the test from your home, or from your local library. (Most libraries offer high-speed Internet connections at workstations with sufficient space for scratch-work purposes.)

What browser can I use to take the test?
Internet Explorer is a site requirement.

Is there a test taking stipulation that I should be aware of?
No.  However, attempts to circumvent the test taking process will result in the revocation of viewing privileges and the expiration of the exam token.

Am I able to carry over prep tests to the next sitting?
No. Unfortunately, online prep tests cannot be carried over to the next exam sitting. Prep tests are tied to tokens which have an expiration date.

We can provide candidates that have purchased Independently Authored Prep Tests with a refund if we are notified within two weeks prior to the beginning date of our online preparatory tests.

What do I do when I try to "Take Exam" and I get a pop up window that says "Do you want to allow this page to paste information from your clip board?"
1) Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools, then Internet Options.

2) Click the second tab on the top called "Security".

3) Click the "Custom Level" button at the bottom.

4) Scroll down almost to the bottom to "Scripting", then look for "Allow paste operations via script", then click "Enable".  (In IE7, this option is labeled "Allow programmatic clipboard access.")

5) Click "OK", "Yes", and "OK"

If I don't take the additional online tests that came with my Ultimate package, can I get a refund?

No.  It is not possible for us to re-sell an unused Ultimate package once the study program has sold out, therefore we do not offer refunds.
